4 Elements to Set the Right Environment for Writing

It is undoubtedly a complicated activity to do

It is a question that sparks my mind from time to time. I sit down to come up with a possible answer — hallelujah! Says a green me who declines the idea after the next few minutes. And so every time.

You’ve probably watched the film “Limitless,” where Bradley Cooper becomes powerful and extra-productive by taking smart pills. Even if that were possible, I wouldn’t be interested in that. I’m inquisitive about the ingredients that, in the end, make me feel special about doing something.

Imagine a chill January evening at home, quite a cozy room environment, chilled-hop beats with piano are being delivered from lo-fi playlist to your ears, like a cube of ice melting in your soda drink, meaning that it does a simple thing, but so special, huh? Indeed, it’s a great atmosphere! I love writing, so that’s what I’m doing at that moment, by converting the pleasure of the moment I’m living in into the action — writing an article on Medium.

But, but…it’s not always like this. The same playlists sound irrationally loud; January is grey, plus without snow, and actually, summer has gone by unnoticed. It was so lovely at first, but it annoys me right now.

What could be wrong? I seem to do the same procedure but, in the end, receive two opposite results.

Medium is against the clickbait, and my writing hand (to be fair, typing fingers) is underlining this vision. That’s why there is an honest subtitle. This blog post is an ideal form of communication for me — and to similar lost ones, to define the secret ingredients that make us feel special in doing something.

I’m just guessing, but I want to share something that has already helped me.

The Same Method Won’t Bring the Same Feelings.

Sometimes the sound of a passing tram outside the window is a cherry on a chilled cake of calmness, when other times the same sound is just about “oh, please, can this tram have a break at least for an hour? I’m so annoyed!”
